When the Gulf turns grey and the pool loses its appeal, Gulf Bowl in Foley is the plan we point Gulf Shores and Orange Beach guests toward. It’s a proper indoor entertainment center: sixteen standard lanes plus seven VIP-style lanes, a multi-level laser tag arena, axe throwing, a HoloGate immersive VR experience, and roughly 2,500 square feet of arcade games, all under one roof and completely out of the weather.
There’s no single admission fee, everything is priced separately, bowling by the lane or per game, laser tag and axe throwing by the session, and the arcade on a load-and-play card, so families can pick and choose rather than committing to a full day. Most groups spend two to three hours here between a game of bowling and a round of laser tag, and Captain’s Choice Seafood Restaurant on site means you don’t have to leave for lunch or dinner either.
It’s about a 15 to 20 minute drive inland from most of our Orange Beach and Gulf Shores rental homes, an easy trade for a guaranteed dry afternoon. We tend to suggest it for the one day in a beach week when the forecast looks unreliable, it keeps kids entertained without anyone needing a raincoat, and it works just as well as a low-key evening plan if you’d rather bowl a few frames than sit through another sunset.
